Decentralised Air Handling Units

Decentralised air handling units are ventilation components installed in facades which directly ventilate individual rooms or zones. They are tested according to a special test specification developed by the Forschungsgemeinschaft für Luft- und Trocknungstechnik (Research Foundation for Air and Drying Technology) in the VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau - German Engineering Federation) in cooperation with WSPLab. The quality and test guideline was published as VDMA 24390 guideline. As well as determining the cooling and heating capacity, the test specification also includes quality requirements, compliance with which will be stated in the test report.
