The test facility for floor heating systems according to EN 1264-2 is composed of a sandwich structure. The test facility is used for special floor heating constructions that are not standard systems, whose thermal output can be calculated according to EN 1264-2. The manufacturer sets up a 1m x 1m test unit of the floor heating system. The test unit is then placed between two water-carrying flat pipe radiators. The flat pipe radiators can be controlled to maintain a constant temperature. Special cellular rubber layers with defined heat conduction coefficients are placed between the upper plate and the test unit to simulate heat transmission and floor coverings. The test unit is connected to a closed water circuit whose water can be heated or cooled.
